Training at Ken Shin Kai is well balanced to support each individual motivation.

Training Times

Kendo

Monday

7:30pm – 9:00 pm

General class for beginners, intermediate and advanced students. Focus on kihon.

Iaido

Wednesday

8:00 pm – 9:30 pm

Suitable for beginners and advanced. Focus on Seitei Gata and Koryu (Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu).

Kendo

Thursday

7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Focus on kata and jigeiko. Kata will alternate between Nippon Kendo Kata and Fundamental Kendo techniques with a Bokken (Bokuto-ni-yoro Kendo Kihon-waza Keiko-ho). Kata is available for all students including beginners.

8:30 am – 10:00 am

Primary Childrens class and general class for all students.

Suitable for children ages 9-16.

All Instructors have Working With Children accreditation (Bluecard).

Training Fee

Training fees are charged monthly according to the following schedule. These fees covers all training for the month regardless of how many sessions are attended. The fee is due and payable at the beginning of each month and applies regardless of actual attendence. That is, the fee is payable even if you do not attend for that month. A casual fee is available which is generally not applied to guests or short term visitors.

Payable monthly. Please use Last name and Month being paid as bank reference.

  • $75 – kendo and kendo/iaido
  • $50 – iaido only
  • $40 – junior (16 and under)
  • $30 – members from other clubs who train once or twice a week with KSK
  • $10 – casual attendance (per class and can be paid in cash)
